Outdoor Playground Day with Family Outdoor Playground Day with Family Video for Kids - Homestead Kids All work and no play.... You know the saying. While homesteading, the kids are always working at doing chores, gardening and so many other things. They do of course play a lot too, but we have not gone to a park in a long time. One MUST take time out of work to relax and play once in a while. Mama had a USDA training over in Cordell, Oklahoma ( New Cordell ) so we all took the opportunity to go on a short road trip with Mama. Cordell has a nice little free public park with a lot of playground equipment such as seesaw, merry-go-round, swingset, slide, jungle gym, chin-up bars, sandbox, spring rider, monkey bars, overhead ladder, trapeze rings, playhouses,. They had built a beautiful play structure. The kids had a great time on the swingset, the merry go round, the climbing wall, the slide, and other playground equipment. It was hard to tell what their favorite was. It seemed to be the merry go round (or carousel if you prefer). There was a type of carousel that I don't know the name of where the kids could hang from the round spinning top while they spin round and round. They all had a lot of fun - it is a good way to improve ones health by having a relax day end just enjoy. It was a nice relaxing day for everybody to get away from the homestead and relax for the day :)
