Commercial playground structure
Poured rubber floors are made from polyurethane. They have a seamless finish and look great on any floor. They are used in schools, hospitals and factories, and are strong, durable and easy to clean. Installing poured rubber flooring isn't difficult, but it does require preparation. The floor underneath must be primed, and a base must be poured and set.
Prepare the area where you will be pouring your rubber flooring. Dig a trench for the concrete and make sure there is enough depth space for the concrete and the rubber Commercial playground
Blend into the Crushed Aggregate Base a rubber cushion-like substance which sits under the poured rubber. This material is called Styrene butadiene rubber, and it provides a layer of resilient rubber. Blend it with Flexilon 1118 binder before trowling it into the CAB.
Place 1-by-6 foot boards all around the perimeter of the area creating a concrete form. Nail them together at the ends to hold them in place. Hammer stakes in the ground behind them for support.
Pour the concrete, smooth it out and level it with a trowel. When the cement is dry, lay out and compact a Crushed Aggregate Base (CAB). Make sure it is at least 3 inches thick and has a 1/4-inch slope for drainage.
Mix an Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer with a polyurethane binder and trowel it in a wheel-barrel until it is smooth. Use a shovel to pour it out into the prepared area, 3/8-inch thick. Or if the area is large, rent a mixer. It cures in 48 hours.Commercial playground
